For testing avatars/sigs presumably, which I've never seen the point of (You can always look at your profile or a previous post!).

This is testing to see what happens to utterly pointless threads.

They would get locked or deleted.

Actually I lied :(. Jazzem got it, I was testing my sig, and didn't realise you could do it another way.

So you just wanted to test your signature by making this thread?  :o
