The thing is, what we've got here is the start ofa series of new lemmings games with new styles. I found a review (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/press_release.php?aid=13129) containing this:

"By sending out the unique code to successful players, we're allowing them to reform the bond they had with their pet Lemming in later games. They will be able to look after their own pet Lemming and utilise the skills learnt - but each time within a totally new gaming environment."

Whoo.

Sounds great though, this does sound like it's using the lemmings license well (ie it's using the theme and skills of lemmings, rather then just plastering a lemming on for sales), and it means our loved franchise can live on :)

I think there's planned level packs for the standard mobile Lemmings too, hopefully some will be original, brand new areas.

I can actually kind of imagine a sort of mini-Lemball for mobile. Hopefully if there is they'll keep the 2-player(Maybe more?) function and change it to take mobile numbers rather than IP. addresses. Those would be easier to temember, especially with some kind of contact list.
