DragonsLover | 24 Sep 2005 04:53:25 Amiga VS Atari STSome of you are lucky, you played Lemmings on a REAL Amiga computer, well I guess. Okay... maybe I could find one somewhere like on eBay. But, anyway, I've considered these days that Amiga is better than Atari ST, and this is what I had. Most of the games I'm playing are always the best on Amiga, and this is not only Lemmings: - Captive - Dungeon Master - And surely more if I could try the games to see the differences Just tell me what do you think about this fact. I'm sure most of you will say that Amiga is better. Of course, you probably never played on Atari ST computer isn't it? In fact, I like both of them, Amiga and Atari ST are great old machines! :D |

Jazzem | 24 Sep 2005 09:12:51 Re: Amiga VS Atari STHaven't played either of them, but I used to have an Acorn Archemedies, the machine I initially owned Lemmings on. Shame it stopped working :-( |

Mr. Ksoft | 25 Sep 2005 21:18:05 Re: Amiga VS Atari STAmiga. I've played Lemmings Amiga and Lemmings for ST. The Amiga owns the ST version. The ST's music sounds like an NES. Ouch. |
DragonsLover | 26 Sep 2005 13:45:20 Re: Amiga VS Atari STYep, :agree:, but did you know that Atari ST can support MOD too (well, I guess)? Some musics or sounds aren't made of ST 3-Channels music. I remembered playing the game called SnacMan. The musics were great and weren't STSpeakers. I really think that these musics were MOD. |
finlay | 02 Oct 2005 16:37:30 Re: Amiga VS Atari STI've never even seen an Amiga computer, but I have played the Atari version of Lemmings at a friend's, about 8 or 9 years ago. The two-player levels rock. I wish there was a way to extract them for other platforms... |
Isu | 03 Oct 2005 02:29:12 Re: Amiga VS Atari STI have heard of an Amiga to PC level converter (Amiga has two player levels too! I assume they are the same), although I can't for the life of me remember where. X_X |
DragonsLover | 03 Oct 2005 23:47:03 Re: Amiga VS Atari STISU, you don't search a lot! O_o You can get it on the Lemmings Universe Website. Unfortuately, the downloads aren't working for now... :'( |
Isu | 04 Oct 2005 09:40:01 Re: Amiga VS Atari STDon't you mean that I don't remember a lot? :???: What you said doesn't make any sense... |
Shvegait | 04 Oct 2005 15:24:22 Re: Amiga VS Atari STI think he means that, whether you remember or not, you should be able to find it easily if you'd just search for it. |

The two-player levels rock. I wish there was a way to extract them for other platforms... The levels are probably extractable, but obviously there's no real way (aside from programming it yourself, a far from trivia task) to add 2-player support to the platforms that don't support it already. |
DragonsLover | 05 Oct 2005 14:07:50 Re: Amiga VS Atari STDon't you mean that I don't remember a lot? :???: What you said doesn't make any sense... I'm sorry! Forget what I said... :-[ |

The two-player levels rock. I wish there was a way to extract them for other platforms... You could use an emulator. They're on the Genesis version, for instance, and it's not difficult to get hold of a Genesis emulator. (You get 100 extra one-player levels that way as well!) |

Actually, what you said made even less sense. :-/ I think he's saying that, regardless of whether you remember or not, if you just did a simple search in Google or something you could've probably found that Lemmings Universe had a (apparently broken) link to it. |
Isu | 05 Oct 2005 22:48:28 Re: Amiga VS Atari STYeah, sorry. I couldn't remember, and I didn't search because I was quite busy. That post was kinda rushed. :x |

Hehe, yeah, but tbh I'm not after the gameplay as much as the levels themselves.... just to sort of marvel at them. I'll try and find a genesis emulator, perhaps, though. That could be cool. 100 extra levels?? Wow. I didn't know it was that many... |
finlay | 07 Oct 2005 15:01:57 Re: Amiga VS Atari STOh, I got the genesis emulator working, btw. I haven't seen any new levels yet though. |
Ahribar | 07 Oct 2005 17:38:49 Re: Amiga VS Atari ST14 Fun is the first one -- unless you want to skip ahead to the Present and Sunsoft categories, which are entirely new. |
